How to Make $7000 Per Month
as a Wedding Photographer
Straight Talk from Julia Lexx

Okay, let’s get real.
If you’re here, you’re probably wondering why wedding photographers around you seem to be thriving while you’re struggling to find clients or make enough money to call this a real business.

First of all, let me tell you, you’re not alone. I’ve been there, and oh boy, it’s tough. But you don’t have to stay stuck.

Hi, I’m Julia Lexx. I’ve been a wedding photographer for over 10 years. My career has taken me from USA to Europe and Asia, and I was privileged enough to work with celebrities like Kristen Stewart, Ashley Benson, and David Guetta.

But here’s the thing, I didn’t start out knowing how to charge my worth, market myself, or even pick the right photos for my portfolio. I had to figure it all out the hard way.
I made many, maaaany mistakes. But we only grow if we learn from our mistakes (or preferably the mistakes of others😅).
And now, I help photographers like you skip all that trial and error and create a roadmap to success.

Let’s cut through the noise and talk about what’s holding you back, and how I can help you change that.
Here’s the Truth About Why Photographers Struggle

1. Random Marketing Tips Won’t Get You There
You can Google marketing tips all day, but they’re not tailored to you. What works for one photographer might not work for another. Without a clear plan, you’re just throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks.
2. Your Portfolio Isn’t Pulling Its Weight
I’m going to be harsh here, if your portfolio doesn’t wow potential clients in seconds, you’re in trouble. People decide whether to book you before they even meet you. If your portfolio doesn’t scream “I’m the one,” they’re moving on.
3. You’re Not Using the Right Tools
Let’s face it, wedding photography is overwhelming. Sorting through thousands of photos, editing, posting on social media, answering inquiries, it’s a lot. The good news is, there are tools that can help you save time and focus on what matters.

Please Don’t Panic, It’ll Be Alright.
Take a deep breath.
You’re not behind, you’re just starting to figure things out, and that’s okay. Just don’t panic, this is fixable, and I’m here to help.

Let me share one quick tip that has helped most of my students, SEO for your website.
You have to know how it works, but most importantly you have to know what works best for YOU.
Here’s something simple you can do today, add keywords to your website’s homepage, portfolio descriptions, picture names, and blog posts.
For example, if you’re a wedding photographer in Orlando, use phrases like “Orlando wedding photographer” or “romantic wedding photography in Orlando.”
This helps Google know who you are, and shows your site to couples searching for photographers in your area.

Another tip in short - backlinks. It's a lot to unpack, but in short, you have to have them. A lot, but quality over quantity.
It’s a small tweak, but it makes a big difference in helping clients find you online.
How to Get Clients to Book Without Price Being the Focus

Want a secret that will instantly make you more attractive to potential clients? Make sure your price isn’t the first thing they see.

I know, I know—every photographer says, “Should I put my prices on my website?” And my answer is yes... but not in the first five seconds of them being on your page.
Here’s why: when couples land on your website and see a number before they connect with your work, they start comparing you to every other photographer based on price alone. They don’t see your experience, your style, or the incredible moments you capture. They just see digits.
So, what’s the solution?
1. Keep your pricing on your website, but not front and center. Put it in a section labeled “Investment” or “Pricing” instead of slapping numbers on your homepage. Experiment where it works the best FOR YOU!
2. Lead with wedding galleries, share testimonials, and describe the experience of working with you. Make them want to book you before they even check the price.
3. Use a “Let’s Chat” button before they see pricing.
Try this for a month and see what happens—you’ll be surprised how many inquiries stop being about “How much do you charge?” and start being about your vision.

Facebook & Instagram Ads! But Do It Right

Running ads can be a game-changer for getting consistent inquiries, but here’s the deal—if your website isn’t set up correctly, you’re wasting money.
Most photographers launch Facebook or Instagram ads through the “Boost Post” button and wonder why they don’t get booked. Spoiler alert: that’s not real advertising.
Running ads is a science and art altogether.
Try run an ad that leads to your website, NOT just your Instagram profile. You need potential clients to land on a page where they can see your work, connect with your story, and take action.
The right ad strategy brings in serious inquiries—but only if your backend setup is done correctly. If you’re not sure how to check, let’s talk.
I’ll walk you through it so you don’t waste another dollar on ads that go nowhere.
That's why You Need a Roadmap, Not Just Tips.

Look, I’m not going to sell you a magic trick.
There’s no “one weird hack” to make $7,000 a month as a wedding photographer, unfortunately.

I’ll answer your questions, and help you stay on track.

A Little Story

Let me tell you about Maria. She’d been doing photography for two years, going back and forth between treating it as a hobby and trying to make money. She was struggling to figure out her rates and how to approach clients.
Maria had shot two weddings, but she wasn’t happy with how they turned out. She pulled a couple of pictures for her portfolio but didn’t know how to market herself to attract better weddings, the kind that matched her style and vision. She spent hundreds of dollars on better equipment and Facebook ads.
Here’s a little free advice you can get right here, right now, do not buy new equipment until you talk to me. In 9 out of 10 situations, you can manage your business without new equipment.
We worked through everything together. We fixed her portfolio, revamped her marketing, and introduced tools that saved her time and made her workflow smoother. I also showed her how to tap into local offline tools, which she hadn’t considered before.
Maria booked her first $5,000 wedding shortly after booking a call with me. Can you imagine how excited she was? She went from feeling stuck and unsure to landing her dream client, and that’s just the beginning of what she’s building.
What Are You Risking? Nothing! Repeat after me - I do not risk anything, but I can gain so much.

If you’re tired of spinning your wheels, schedule a free 30-minute consultation with me.
